Master of Science in Nursing - MSN
Many people earn their Bachelor degree credentials in another academic area and later decide to make a career change to the Nursing profession. A bridge program is the ideal accelerated path to an MSN for RNs who hold a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field.
All courses in the RN to MSN bridge program are completed online while clinical experiences are arranged at facilities near your home area to the fullest extent possible. Upon completion of the bridge and concentration requirements, you will earn an MSN rather than a BSN degree.
The RN to MSN bridge program is offered through a consortium of the six Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) universities: Austin Peay State University, East Tennessee State University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University, Tennessee Technological University, and The University of Memphis.
The Master of Science in Nursing program is fully accredited through fall 2019 by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), formerly the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
Priority deadlines for admission are:
- October 15 - Spring admission
- February 15 - Summer admission
- June 15 - Fall admission
Registered nurses who hold an Associate's degree or diploma in Nursing AND a Bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing now have the opportunity to be considered for admission to the TN eCampus Master of Science in Nursing program.
